Police nabs human parts dealer in Lugbe

Police in the Federal Capital Territory on Tuesday night, arrested a man found in possession of human skull and bones.

Upon interrogation, the suspect Nuhu Ezra, of Gosa Kipikipi village in Lugbe, said he picked the body parts from the bush while hunting at Kuje and had the intention to sell them for N600,000.

The command in a statement said, “Operatives of the FCT police command attached to Iddo police division on July 9, 2024, at about 9:00 p.m., acting on credible intelligence, trailed and arrested one Nuhu Ezra ‘m’ of Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe, Abuja, with a human skull and bones.

“The suspect, who was found with the body parts upon interrogation, stated that he picked them up from the bush while hunting at Kuje and had the intention to sell the body parts for six hundred thousand naira (N600,000)”

It added that the commissioner of police, CP Benneth Igweh, has ordered that a thorough investigation be conducted to ascertain the bearer of the body parts, the intended buyer, if the suspect killed anyone to be in possession of the body parts, and how long the suspect has been in the alleged business.
