The International Institute of Experts on Political Economy and Administration, IIEPEA Canada, has conferred ex-First Lady of Imo State, Dr. (Mrs) Nkechi Rochas Okorocha, with a Certificate of Confirmation as Global Expert in Administrative Management and decorated as a Distinguished Fellow & Global Expert in Political Economy.
Dr. Okorocha, who is the founder of Women of Divine Destiny Initiative, WODDI, was conferred with the honour at the IIEPEA Leadership Summit 2025 in Abuja with the theme: ‘Political Economy of Nation Building: The World’s Unfinished Business.’
Speaking at the summit, IEPEA President, Prof. Tunji Asaolu, said the summit signifies a collective commitment to addressing one of the most pressing challenges facing Nigeria in an era of rapid change.
He said the performance of nations has been profoundly influenced by political decisions, economic strategies, and the social fabric within which they operate.
“We must acknowledge the substantial hurdles that hinder our progress. Issues such as corruption, inequality, insufficient infrastructure, and governance challenges have obstructed our growth potential,” the don said.
According to him, as the global landscape is continually evolving, presenting new challenges such as climate change and technological tumult there is the demand for innovative solutions and collaborative efforts.
The summit also featured the induction of ambassadors as Special Emissaries into the United World Congress of Diplomats, UN-WCD, and the International Institute of Experts on Political Economy and Administration.
In addition, several members were inducted as Fellows.
Commenting on the recognition, the former First Lady said: “I am deeply humbled to be conferred with the Certificate of Confirmation as Global Expert in administrative management and decorated as a Distinguished Fellow & Global Expert in Political Economy yesterday by the International Institute of Experts on Political Economy and Administration.
“I remain committed to advancing effective governance, impactful policies, and sustainable initiatives that uplift communities and strengthen our society for the greater good.”
