President Bola Tinubu has congratulated renowned poet, journalist and editor, Dr. Tunde Olusunle, on the occasion of his birthday, commending his enduring contributions to journalism, literature and public service.
Tinubu, in a statement by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, described Olusunle as a distinguished media professional whose work has significantly shaped public discourse and nation-building.
The President highlighted Olusunle’s service to Kogi State, where he held key information and media management roles under three successive administrations between 1992 and 1998.
The President also acknowledged his tenure as a presidential aide from 1999 to 2007.
Tinubu praised Olusunle’s intellectual depth and vibrant engagement as a journalist, noting his role as a watchdog and his sustained influence in the media space.
He further commended the celebrant’s prolific output in creative writing and publishing, citing his involvement in more than a dozen books in recent years, as well as his commitment to mentoring emerging writers and journalists.
Tinubu offered prayers for Olusunle’s continued good health and greater wisdom, expressing confidence in his ongoing contributions to national development.
