The Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Maikalangu, has reappointed Hon. Kingsley Rufus Madaki as the Chief Press Secretary to the council.
The reappointment was conveyed in a letter dated June 15, 2026, signed by the Executive Chairman.
According to the letter, the appointment takes effect immediately and is at the pleasure of the Executive Chairman.
Maikalangu expressed confidence in Madaki’s ability to contribute to the progress and development of the council through effective communication and public engagement.
He urged the appointee to demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, maturity, loyalty, competence, commitment and dedication in the discharge of his duties.
The chairman noted that the role comes with the responsibility of projecting the activities, programmes and achievements of the council while strengthening communication between the administration and residents.
While congratulating Madaki on his reappointment, Maikalangu expressed optimism that he would continue to deploy his experience and expertise in advancing the council’s information management and public communication efforts.
The reappointment marks Madaki’s return to the position as AMAC moves to reinforce its media and public affairs operations.
