PDP candidate donates transformer to Taraba community

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency of Taraba State, Tpl. Muktar Galadima, has donated a 35KVA transformer to Unguwar Ciki community in Ibi Local Government Area.
The donation followed a prolonged power outage in the community after its previous transformer broke down, leaving residents without electricity and affecting economic and social activities.
Galadima, who was represented by the Director-General of his 2027 campaign organisation, Zando Hoku, presented the transformer to the community on Sunday.
He said the intervention was prompted by repeated complaints from residents over the blackout, adding that he remained committed to supporting initiatives that would address basic needs in the constituency.
Galadima also pledged to support the provision of additional basic and social amenities in the area.
Receiving the transformer on behalf of the community, the Sarkin Ibi, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abubakar Danbawuro III, commended Galadima for responding to the residents’ concerns.
The monarch said the donation would provide relief to residents who had endured the hardship caused by the prolonged power outage.
Danbawuro urged sons and daughters of Ibi, particularly those in positions of influence, to emulate the gesture by supporting projects capable of improving the living conditions of residents.
He also commended Galadima for responding to the community’s complaint within one week and prayed for divine blessings for him and others who contributed to the project.
Some residents described the intervention as timely, expressing optimism that the new transformer would improve electricity supply to a substantial part of Ibi town.
They also urged constituents in the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency to assess political leaders based on tangible contributions to their communities rather than campaign promises.
