Protest has rocked Kobi Sarki in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, of the Federal Capital Territory following the murder of a state commander of the Volunteer Vigilantes Group, Bako Shauza, by suspected kidnappers.
Kobi Sarki is within the highbrow Asokoro area of Abuja.
Shauza, the protesting villagers say, was shot dead while attempting to rescue those kidnapped from the community by suspected kidnappers who invaded the community at about 8pm on Monday.
Our correspondent reports that residents in their dozens have barricaded the road leading to the area in protest of their ordeal.
They also have called on the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, Christopher Maikalangu, to address them over the incessant attacks on people of the community.
Kobi community has in recent times witnessed several attacks leading to the death of a security officer and the abduction of several people.
