Kogi leads ethics ranking, Ododo’s aide honoured

Kogi State has been named one of Nigeria’s top-performing states in ethics and public service, according to the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation,CESVO, an international anti-corruption group.

The Centre also honoured Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s media aide, Hon. Ismaila Isah, with the “Ethics and Integrity Ambassador Award” for his commitment to ethical leadership and quality service delivery.

CESVO’s Executive Director, Prince Salih Musa Yakubu, said the award followed a 14-month undercover assessment across Nigeria’s 36 states. Hon. Ismaila was ranked among the top 200 public officials recommended by whistleblowers for his professionalism, emotional intelligence, and dedication.

A certificate issued to him described his office as one of the top three most ethically managed in the country in its category.

The recognition came during activities marking the International Day of Conscience and also highlighted Kogi’s rising profile in transparency and value-driven governance under Governor Ododo.

Hon. Ismaila, in his remarks, dedicated the award to Governor Ododo, thanking him for creating an environment where ethical standards and professionalism can thrive.

He pledged to continue promoting transparency and responsible communication in government.

Also honoured were three members of the Government House Media Centre Evelyn Oyiza Yusuff, Shamsudeen Sarki, and Rufai Aliyu Omeiza for their professionalism and ethical conduct.
