NEMA responds as fire razes parts of Jos Terminus Market

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, is coordinating emergency response efforts following a fire outbreak at Terminus Market in Jos, Plateau State.

The incident, which occurred on Saturday night, reportedly started around 10 p.m., raising concerns among traders and residents in the area.

NEMA said the fire had been brought under control through the joint efforts of emergency responders, including the Plateau State Emergency Management Agency, Federal Fire Service and the Plateau State Fire Service.

Officials of the agencies were on the ground managing the situation and working to prevent further spread of the fire to other sections of the market.
