Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress and members of the party’s National Working Committee following their emergence at the just-concluded national convention held in Abuja.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, on Saturday, the governor described the convention as a significant milestone that underscores the unity, strength and democratic ideals of the ruling party.
Ododo noted that the peaceful and consensus-driven emergence of the new leadership reflects the maturity and resilience of the APC, as well as its readiness to consolidate on past achievements.
He commended party leaders and stakeholders for ensuring a smooth and rancour-free exercise, adding that the emergence of new officials into key positions demonstrates a collective commitment to strengthening the party’s structure and accommodating diverse interests.
The governor also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as exemplary leadership, saying his administration had made the party more attractive to Nigerians.
According to him, the Federal Government has recorded progress in economic reforms, infrastructure development, fiscal restructuring and efforts to enhance national and food security.
Ododo described the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange system as “courageous but necessary reforms” aimed at repositioning the country’s economy for long-term stability.
He further commended ongoing investments in infrastructure, education and social intervention programmes, noting that they are laying a foundation for inclusive growth despite prevailing economic challenges.
The governor urged the newly elected party officials to justify the confidence reposed in them by promoting inclusiveness, transparency and dedication to service.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to working with the party leadership at all levels to advance the collective aspirations of Nigerians.
