Secretary vows to maintain education standard in FCT

Despite the limited time available for the newly inaugurated political appointees of the FCT Administration to accomplish their mandates, the Education Secretary, Sani El-katuzu, has assured that a lot will be achieved within the time available.
El-katuzu who stated this at a meeting with top management of the secretariat, assured that the standard of education in the nation’s capital will not be compromised.
He stressed that education is the bedrock of every meaningful development and key to social and economic emancipation hence it should be made a priority.
He advised that as custodians of children, “we must not only mould the children to be academically sound and morally fit in the society but we must be role models to them.”
The secretary added that, investing in education will make positive impact in the FCT stressing that every residents should have access to education as education has proven to be a great asset to the parents, society and the nation as a whole.
El-katuzu therefore stressed his willingness to work with a vision of providing and sustaining qualitative and functional as well as inclusive Education to FCT residents, adding that functional education services will be provided when and where necessary.
He thanked the Hon Minister for FCT and Minister of State for counting him worthy to serve in this capacity and assure that he will take education in FCT to an enviable height while pledging to work harmoniously with management team towards attaining the goals of the FCT Education Secretariat.
He solicits for the support and cooperation of the education management adding that he is set to work assiduously and be focused to ensure he leaves a worthy legacy behind within the time he has.
