With the twists and turns surrounding the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, National Convention date stated for 26th March 2021 the governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje has reaffirmed that the scheduled activity will hold.
Ganduje who is also the chairman of the Protocol Subcommittee assured that the Court injunction stopping the APC from proceeding with the election of new national officers would soon be overturned.
Ganduje gave this assurance on Tuesday shortly after supervising the training of about 250 protocol officers for the March meeting.
He said “I have no fear, the convention will hold Insha Allah, Don’t worry we are equal to the task, We are the biggest party in Africa and we have experienced hands who are organising the convention. “A lot of reconciliation has taken place, consensus has taken place and we believe we will give you the best.
” The Kano Governor noted that his committee is at the party Secretariat to train protocol officers and ushers so as to know exactly what they are expected to do at the venue of the convention.
” Apart from the selection of young men and women numbering about two hundred and Fifty (250) then right now they are going for training on the does and the don’t. “What they are expected to do during the convention and they are all happy with the program; So after that one, they will go to the field; I myself will be there so that we continue the training there.
” So I assured you that we will give the best as protocol sub- committee. You know we will have so many dignitaries; legislatures, Governors, the President, the vice president himself even minister and State assemblies.
” So you can see it will be a gathering of who is who not only in APC but in government. So we should expect our ushers and our protocol officers to give the best services,”he said.
