A Federal Capital Territory, FCT election tribunal has sacked the chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Christopher Maikalangu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Maikalangu was declared as the duly elected chairman of the council during the February 13 2022, councils polls by the INEC.
7 months after the elections, the tribunal in a ruling on Friday said Murtala Karshi of the All Progressives Congress, APC, won the elections.
The judgement took place at the FCT Election Tribunal in Wuse Zone 2 of Abuja.
A source close to the sacked chairman confirmed the judgement, but said the party will study the judgement and react appropriately.
