A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee and National Leader of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), Aare Tolu Bankole, has called on Nigerians to reflect on the values of hope, sacrifice, and national renewal as the Easter season is celebrated across the country.
In a statement he personally signed and released on Friday, April 18, 2025, Bankole said Easter reminds Christians of Christ’s triumph over death and the power of sacrifice and unwavering faith in God’s promises.
Quoting Luke 24:6-7, he said: “He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’”
“This sacred season calls us as a people to embrace the values of love, compassion, and selflessness,” he stated. “In the spirit of Easter, I urge all Nigerians to reflect on our shared humanity, live peaceably with one another, and commit to building a more united and prosperous nation.”
Bankole also expressed confidence in the ongoing efforts of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to improve the nation’s economy through people-centered policies in key sectors.
“As a member of the APC’s National Working Committee, I affirm our unwavering support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” he noted. “We are confident that the fruits of these efforts will soon manifest in improved living standards and opportunities for all Nigerians.”
He concluded his message with a prayer: “May this Easter bring peace to our hearts, unity to our nation, and renewed hope for a greater Nigeria.”
